Oilers do the Deed !

The Oilers beat Detroit 3-2 and I missed the game due to a schedual malfunction! Roli the goalie was stingy, and the Oil pulled 3 goals out of their hats that left the Wings up against the ropes. The series goes back to Edmonton 3-2 for the Oilers, not many would have thought it possible, but I did ! Go Oilers Go ! Next game is Monday @ 6:00 pm mst on C.B.C

Double Over-Time Thriller

The Oilers took a 2-1 series lead last night at an electric Rexall Place. Chris Pronger continued his all star play logging 47:17 mins and an assist. Shawn Horcoff chipped in 3 assists, and Brad Winchester added 2 a's. Dwayne Roloson was stingy with his 44 saves, and Ryan Smyth came to lead with a goal and an assist. All make my hero list, but Jarret Stoll gets the prize.

The Oilers won the game 4-2 with four well rounded lines and solid goaltending. They head back to Edmonton with one game a piece. My hero of the game was defenceman Chris Pronger with a goal and an assist. Look out detroit youre going into a very loud barn where you are very unwelcome !

The Oilers playoff hopes lay with Dwayne Roloson and Ty Conklin

The Oilers play Colorado in their final game of the regular season tonite. Let's call it a tune-up, or R&R for some of our star players, cause they get the league champion Detroit RedWings in round one of the playoffs. Congradulations for a great season guys, and good hunting in round 1.

The Oilers beat Anaheim 2-1, with Hemsky's winner coming with 33 seconds to go. 40 wins was enough, because the Vancouver Canucks tanked against the San Jose Sharks for the second consecutive night.

It was a team effort as the gang poured in 37 shots. Chris Pronger had 2 assists and a stick to the mouth that drew a four minute Anaheim penalty late in the game. So the Oilers are likely going to play the Detroit RedWings in round 1, unless Colorado loses 2 in a row and the Oilers win their final game. Then the Oilers get their nemesis, the "Dallas Stars"! Who cares... We're In !

One Step Closer !

The Oilers move one step closer to the playoffs, and a spot in them as they play the St. Louis Blues today. They sit in 7th, 2 points ahead of Vancouver and San Jose (the Sharks have a game in hand). The Oilers and Canucks have 4 games left and the Sharks have 5. Two of these teams will make the post season and one wont, so the Oilers should really win all their remaining games if they want to be assured of a spot. It looks as if the Oilers wheels are turning and getting speed as they have got 11/16 points in their last 8 games. Four more points should cover, but anything could happen so say a prayer for the blue and copper !

Time to Put Out !

It's time for my Oilers to put out in a big way ! Playoff hockey is at stake, and Coyote roadkill is on the menu. The big guns must score more, and more often. Say an Oilers prayer, there's only 7 games left in the season including this one, and the Sharks are hot on the Oilers tail.
