Here's some pictures from Avery, Gabe and My fabulous swim day together.

This is Avery and Gabriel getting set to take the plunge...Gabe couldn't do it!

Here's Ave and Gabe with beach balls which they had a "Ball" with!

Here's the two of them in the hot tub, what good friends they are!

And fianally here's Avery my brave lil' punkin! She'll do anything for attention ! We had a good time ...just the 3 of us!

Let's Rummmmmble

The Edmonton Oilers' face off with the Calgary Flames for soul possession of 1st place on the N.W. division tonight. The teams are tied, with Calgary having a game in hand. This is a must win for the Oilers' if they want to keep pace with the other playoff contenders. Both the Oilers' and the Flames play a fast, high shooting game, so it should be entertaining to say the least. Look for Edmonton's big guns to fill the net because to beat the Flames you cant just count on your 2nd, 3rd & 4th line. The teams have each won two against the other this season, so say your Oilers' prayer cause this is like a year end rubber match.

MerryChristmas

God Loves the Oilers!

I'm sure He loves all the other teams too, but the Oilers' are now 2nd over-all in the Western Conference. Edmonton beat Los Angeles 5-3 last night, and maybe that's my early Christmas present. Calgary beat Vancouver in a shootout, so that puts the Oilers' 1 point ahead in the standings. There's a break for Christmas, and then it's back to work against the Minnesota Wild on the 26th and 28th. Two more wins against division opponents looks really good on the stats sheet. We play Nashville on the 30th and the Flames NewYears Eve in Calgary. Kudo's go to Ty Conklin for the win, Jarret Stoll for his all around effort, Sean Horcoff and Ales Hemsky for their offence, and Chris Pronger for his best game as an Oiler.
Gp W P
Edmonton 36 21 46
Vancouver 35 20 45
Calgary 35 20 44
Colorado 36 18 39
Minnesota 35 15 34

Spaghetti heads

Mmmmmmmmmm Eating Spaghetti is Funnnnnnnnn !

Vancouver Must Love Us...Or Not!

Once again the Oilers' defeated the Canucks' 7-6 in a good old fashioned '80's barn burner. Either they love us or they hate us, but we'll take the points. The Oilers' are now tied for 1st in their division with Vancouver with 44 points. The rise to the top came at the Canucks' expense with 3 wins against them this month alone. Pretty much everyone chipped in for this one, but kudos go to the R.P.M. line (the best 3rd line in all hockey right now) One more game before Christmas against the surging L.A. Kings, we'll need some more of them prayers.

We Win

Sorry 'bout the delay on the results, but the Oiler's did rip Calgary off the other day 5-4. It was a great 3rd period comeback with Ethan Moreau and Fernando Pisani doing the dirty work. Edmonton has 42 points, 7 back of the conference leaders the Detroit RedWings. And...are only 2 back of Vancouver for the division lead. Incidentally they play them next in Vancouver before Christmas, what a gift a win would be! Say your usual prayer, cause it's been working for the Oiler's.

Game Day

The Oilers' are in for a battle with their arch rivals the Calgary Flames' tonite in Edmonton. A win would be a great pre-Christmas gift, only 2 points seperate the teams. The Oil have better scorers, power play, and penalty kill, and a win would boost confidence and keep the ball rolling. They have gained points in their past 11 games save 1, a close loss to the Avalanche. So say a little prayer for the Oilers' and lets celebrate a pre-Christmas victory.

Hero's

The Oiler's did it again ! Vancouver went down 5-4 in sudden death overtime, thanks in part to Mike Peca ! The R.P.M. line of Reasoner, Pisani, and Moreau were huge initioniating the 3rd period comeback ! Markkanen got the win despite a huge game by Todd (the Thug) Bertuzzi with 2 goals. Hemsky was solid with 3 points, and the win pulls them 1 point closer to the division lead. The Oil laid the boots to the Canucks in the shots department, and Stoll was huge in the face off circle. All in all a great team effort. Next up... the Calgary Flames on the 19th of December.

OILERS WIN

The Oiler's showed some resilience and came back to beat the Montreal Canadians's last night 5-3. A great effort coming off the heals of another tough o.t. loss to the New Jersey Devil's in the game prior. Fernando Pisani had 3 points, Ethan Moreau got the winner and Ty Conklin got his first win since his comeback. Edmonton's next game is the 17th in Vancouver. The Oil have their number this year, but the Canucks are superb at home, so say the prayer for the Oiler's win !

Anniversary Weekend

Char and I had a great anniversaty weekend. We went to Prince George and shopped for Christmas Presents , and I mean shopped. After lunch we shopped some more at Walmart, and after that felt like going home. ( I had been up all night playing online poker, which I came in 2nd out of over 400) Anyway we ended up staying and going out for supper at Moxies which was really great. And viewing Christmas lights was fun. By then we were ready to stay and watch the movie we wanted to see at the theater. "The Lion,The Witch, and The Wardrobe" was awesome! My new all-time favorite! It was late by the time the movie got out, so we loaded up on coffee, and made the trip home. I don't know why we stayed up and wrapped presents, but we did, and that was the cherry on the cake for the day.

Oiler's Vrs. Devil's

Tonite the Oiler's take on the Devil's in New Jersey. Ty Conklin should return to the net after a long lay-off due to injury. The Oil have a great road record, and should be able to take care off the slumpping Dev's. It's no given by any means so say a little prayer for the best team that you love !

Happy 10th Anniversary Pooh Bear, Iov Lo You, and here's to many many more ! Your the Greatest mate I could ever ask for, I really mean it. I pray for you when you may not know it, and I hope it brings you the joy you need !

Oilers Prevail !

The Oilers' got a great preformance from Mike Morrison and Ethan Moreau and won 3-2. Mike made 30 saves and Ethan had 2 shorthanded goals to power the Oil over the Flyers. They were better in the face off circle, the power play, and obviously penalty killing ! Simon Gagne (the Flyers leading goal scorer) had 8 shots, but couldn't solve Morrison.Truly a great effort (on the road) for the over achieving youngsters from Big E ! Next game is the New York Islanders on Saturday.

"...it's hockey night, tonight..."

The Oilers 4 days off is over, and they should be well rested! Their task is to beat the Flyer's in Philly ! It's a tough match they'll need to bring their "A" game. Say a little prayer they need the two points.

Canfor

With layoffs looming I opted to take position in the garage for the month of December. I wash these big units with a pressure wand, so the mechanics can work on them, the mechanics (by the way) are a good bunch ! I've made friends with two of the men. I even plan to buy one of the guys boat in the spring !. I come home pretty dirty, Char asked if I stuck my face in a puddle when she saw my touqe ! It's a dirty job, and I may as well do it with Christmas coming and all ! Anyway, its fun learning to drive these monsters and who knows maybe that will be my new next job !

Viewer Discretion Advised

The Oiler's next game is Thursday against the Philadelphiea Flyer's. Let's hope they show up more prepared then these dudes! I don't want to see another loss like they had against the Boston Bruin's in O.T.

Sicko's

These are my kids today as of this morn ! I don't look in particularly good shape either. Ave, Gabey, and I all have nasty colds. Emma is getting over hers, but the other two are running fevers and sore tummies. This may be the last time you see the four of us sitting in this chair. It's getting old, and decrepit much like myself ! I played Santa this morning and asked each of them if they were good this year. They each said yes, and asked for a Barbie, a remote control boat, and a new " Princess and the Pauper" DVD. Which is fine if you haven't an idea what to get them, cause we got them all totally different things (which they will love equally !) Ave told me the real meaning of Christmas ,and I'm glad she understands that it's not all about the presents ! She told Char "Jesus was born on Christmas so he could dive on the cross at Easter !"
